Fatherson

Fatherson are a three piece band currently based in Glasgow that have been making waves in the UK music scene.
Through a string of supports and tours with bands such as Idlewild, Panic! at the Disco, Feeder and Twin Atlantic to name a few. Furthermore, last summer saw the band play many festivals such as T in the Park and Wickerman.
The band released their last EP in June 2011 on the King Tuts Recordings record label. This label has previously released singles for acts such as The Dykeenies, Twin Atlantic and The Xcerts. This was accompanied by a headline release show at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow which sold out in advance and was followed by a further show in The Arches in December, accompanied by an orchestra and short film, which sold out and was upgraded to a larger hall due to demand. The band wrapped up the year with a BBC Radio 1 Introducing live session.
2012 see’s the band start work on what will eventually become their debut album. Fatherson have started the year running. From appearing in numerous “top tips for 2012” in sources such as BBC Scotland, Clash Magazine and many online blogs to being invited to perform at HMV’s Next Big Thing Festival in Edinburgh’s HMV Picture House with Frightened Rabbit to a sold out audience and in The Ironworks in Inverness opening for Feeder, Fatherson are definitely ones to watch this year.
